2.4.2.  Third Party Cookies
We use cookies of the following service providers for the following services:

Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics for ongoing quality control and improvement of our offer.

Google Analytics is a web analysis service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Information on your use of this website created by the cookie will generally be transmitted to and stored on a server of Google in the USA. Please be informed that on this website Google Analytics has been expanded with the "gat._anonymizeIp();" code to warrant that IP addresses will be recorded anonymously by Google Analytics (so-called IP masking). In this way Google will first truncate your IP address in Member States of the European Union or in other countries that are parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the entire IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.

On our behalf Google will use such information to evaluate your use of the website, to prepare reports on website activities and to render other services related to use of the website and the internet to us. The truncated IP address that is transmitted by your browser by means of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

Furthermore this site uses Google Analytics reports on demographic characteristics, in which data from interest-based advertising by Google as well as visitor data of third parties (e.g. age, gender and interests) is used. This data cannot be traced back to a specific person and can be deactivated at any time via the display settings at http://www.google.com/settings/ads.

In addition, you can prevent data that is generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website from being transmitted to and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in that is available at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

For more detailed information on the conditions of use and on data protection of Google Analytics please see http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/en.html and http://www.google.com/intl/en/analytics/privacyoverview.html.

Google Remarketing
This website uses the Google remarketing function. This function serves the purpose of presenting you with interest-based advertisements as part of the Google advertising network. Your browser saves cookies which enable you to be recognised when you access websites which belong to the advertising network of Google. On these sites you may be presented with advertising material which relates to content you have previously accessed on websites which use the Google remarketing function.

According to its own statements Google does not collect any personal data as part of this process. Should you, however not wish to use the Google remarketing function, you may deactivate it by applying the respective settings at http://www.google.com/settings/ads. Alternatively you may deactivate the use of cookies for interest-based advertising via the advertising network initiative by following the instructions at http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp

More information on Google remarketing and the Google Data Protection Statement can be found at http://www.google.com/privacy/ads.

Social plug-ins
We use social plug-ins of the following social networks on our website: Facebook

Facebook
To protect your personal data when you visit our website the plug-in provided by Facebook (hereinafter also referred to as the "Provider") is not unrestricted but instead is integrated into our website via a HTML link (the so-called "Shariff solution" provided by c't). By integrating the plug-in in this way we ensure that no connection is established to the Provider of the plug-in when you visit websites which contain a social plug-in.

If you click on a social plug-in icon, a new browser window will open and will load the Provider's website where you can (after entering your login data if required) for example press the "Like" or "Share" button.

Only by your pressing the Provider's button (e.g. "Like" or "Share" button) will a cookie be set by the Provider in your browser and the Provider will receive the information that your browser has accessed the respective page on our website, even if you do not have a user profile with the Provider or are not currently logged in to the Provider. This information (including your IP address) will then be transmitted directly by your browser to a server of the Provider (usually in the USA) and saved there.
In no case will D&P Apartment Booking GmbH use personal data.

If you press the Provider's button after clicking on the icon social plug-in personal data will be collected by the Provider by setting cookies. You can find more information on the purpose and the scope of the collection of data and further processing and use of the data by the Provider as well as your related rights and setting options in this respect to protect your privacy in the data protection provisions on Facebook's website at http://www.facebook.com/policy.php.

2.4.3.  Preventing or rejecting cookies
You can prevent the setting of cookies from the start by:
  • selecting the settings for rejecting cookies in your browser.
